Machining 2d/3d components
Our engineers can program from paper drawings or import your own CAD file drawing of the part required into our CAD/CAM software. A program is then produced which in turn is downloaded to the CNC Routers control computer.
We specialise in machining parts others turn away due to the complex machining requirements, especially when details are machined in more than 1 face.
We can interpret many types of 3d files into programs that require the tool to cut in 3 axiis at one time.
Equipment
We have 4 routers, all DNC linked to Alphacam, bed sizes range from 8'*4' to 4m*2m. 3 of the machines have multitool changers.
All routers are capable of machining all plastics to high tolerances and high finishes, but have 2 that are dedicated to Heat insulation materials and ceramics.
By repositioning sheets, it is possible for us to machine single piece components upto 6mtrs (6000mm) long as we often do when machining vehicle body sides such as used to fabricate Fire Engine bodies.
Materials and Components
Many engineering plastics, thermoplastics, high temperature and specialised plastics, composites and laminates can successfully be precision CNC machined.
We are also experienced and equiped to machine hard and exotic woods for use in both Engineering tooling and architectural applications.
